Royal Virginia Golf Club is the unknown “Emerald Jewel” and Best Kept Secret of golf in Virginia. Opened in 1993 and host to the 2000 and 2001 Virginia State Open Championships Royal Virginia offers one of the most challenging layouts for any golfer. Conveniently located between Richmond and Charlottesville just off I-64, we offer beautiful spectacular views of the rolling hills and foliage of Virginia.

Under new ownership and management, our staff is dedicated to providing you the finest golfing experience in central Virginia. Our Bermuda fairways and Bent greens are meticulously maintained for your golfing pleasure. Our championship tees are over 7100 yards with a course rating of 74.1 and a slope of 140. Regardless of which 5 tee boxes you choose to play, the course layout requires all shots in your game. Once you reach the green take a deep breath before putting that ball on our super fast sloping greens.
